resurrection blues!

The time has come to dredge this blog from the murky depths and start using it again.
Why? because of the shiny website that is currently being created. It'll be a better, more user-friendly way to show my stuff. an online portfolio if you will.
thanks go out to Anoush Taheri for agreeing to take on this venture into the virtual world with me.

Sound Stuff

I've been concentrating my efforts of my sound based work for a while now.
How does one document and display sound work?
Needlessly to say i'm struggling.

NCP & The Cardboard Delorean

The Ammend/NCP group, an art group of which i am a part, has been having regular meetings for a couple of months now. So it was a perfect time to have an exhibition.
We decided to utilise/hijack the space within the NCP (National Car Park) on Brewer Street, in the bustling heart of Central London.

For the show, a good friend and fellow 3D studio user, Aidan Fallon, and I attempted to create a full scale model of the Delorean from Back to the Future out of nothing but cardboard.

Exhibition Day

Today was the private view of my final project exhibition.
I can safely say it went very well. I took my mum along and we had a good old time poking art, nodding appreciatively and generally acting our shoe sizes.
Now I have to wait until the 8th to find out my grade for the foundation course.
I'm fairly certain I havn't failed. It seems very hard to do, although rumours are floating around about students who may have already failed for various reasons. My favourite being the student who recently found God and didn't hand in a final piece because she took the final term off to go on a pilgrimage. How great is that. You can't make this stuff up.
My nervous tremours now lie on how well I passed. The levels are pass, merit and distinction.

My fingers are crossed and they will be for the next week.

EDIT: Merit!
