Exhibition Day
Today was the private view of my final project exhibition.
I can safely say it went very well. I took my mum along and we had a good old time poking art, nodding appreciatively and generally acting our shoe sizes.
Now I have to wait until the 8th to find out my grade for the foundation course.
I'm fairly certain I havn't failed. It seems very hard to do, although rumours are floating around about students who may have already failed for various reasons. My favourite being the student who recently found God and didn't hand in a final piece because she took the final term off to go on a pilgrimage. How great is that. You can't make this stuff up.
My nervous tremours now lie on how well I passed. The levels are pass, merit and distinction.
My fingers are crossed and they will be for the next week.
EDIT: Merit!

The End is Nigh
The end of the academic year is upon me. I handed in my final project on monday and the exhibition is in a couple of weeks. Looking back on it, I thought i'd post a couple of pieces from over the year. If I take some better photos of the others i'll post them too. (click the links underneath for bigger versions.)

While looking through the pile of things i've been meaning to do for ages I uncovered and rediscovered this old doodle. It was a warm-up that i took a liking to. The text is by a great inspiration to me (and all round lovely lady), Keri Smith.

Old Posts
I'll stick all of old posts from before the switchover in one chunk now to get it out of the way.
It's more for my peace of mind really.
Are we sitting comfortably? Then let's begin.

Sketches
Just a couple of sketches to get the blog ball rolling.
Its the kind of thing done sitting in bed just before going to sleep.
I was thinking about angels. Fallen angels to be more exact. I had been reading bits of Paradise Lost. Great stuff. I highly recommend it (books 1&2 and 9&10)
To be honest, I've fast gone off the brown paper. Its fun to try, but nothing beats a crisp white.

Defecting
I started a blog (this blog i guess) on another site, but didn't like it so much. So this is my defection. I'll transfer all the previous stuff and backdate it somehow. we'll see how it goes.
